For exempt employees, a default schedule of time worked (according to FTE) is automatically loaded each pay period. Therefore, time is not entered unless leave, of any kind, is taken during a pay period.
In this example you will see how to enter leave for an exempt employee, Justin Time, using Weekly Elapsed Time.
Log on to myUFL.
Click the Manager Self Service link.
Click the Time Management link.
Click the Time Management Home link.
Check that the Reporting Method is showing Manage Weekly Elapsed Time.
If the date showing is incorrect, you can enter the new date or use the calendar. In this example, click the calendar.
In this example, the pay period beginning date is March 4, 2011.
Click 4.
Click in the Empl ID field.
Enter the employee ID. In this example, enter "35179121".
Click the Get Employees button.
The employee details are shown.
In this example, click Justin Time.
In this example, Justin took vacation leave on Tuesday 3/8. Click in the 3/8 box.
Enter the vacation hours. In this example, enter "8".
In the Time Reporting Code field, click the drop down list.
Select the appropriate Time Reporting Code (TRC). If the TRC you need is not showing, contact Leave Administration in Human Resource Services.
In this example, select 185-Vacation Used - VAC.
Click the Add a New Line button.
In this example, Justin took sick leave on Thursday 3/10.
Click in the 3/10 box.
Enter the hours taken.
In this example, enter "4".
In the Time Reporting Code field, click the drop down list.
Select the appropriate Time Reporting Code.
In this example, select 195-Sick Leave Used - SCK.
In this example, the remaining hours for the week were time worked.
Click in the 3/4 box.
Enter the hours worked.
In this example, enter "8".
Click in the 3/7 box.
Enter the hours worked.
In this example, enter "8".
Click in the 3/9 box.
Enter the hours worked.
In this example, enter "8".
Click in the 3/10 box.
Enter the hours worked.
In this example, enter "4".
In the Time Reporting Code field, click the drop down list.
Select the appropriate Time Reporting Code.
In this example, the hours entered are for regular time worked. Select 115-Regular TEAMS (S) - TMS.
Check you have entered the hours and Time Reporting Codes correctly. Hours should not exceed the employee's regular FTE.
Click the Save button.
You have now completed the example for entering an exempt employee's leave, using Weekly Elapsed Time.
