In this example you will see how to enter hours for a non-exempt employee, Andy Mann, using Weekly Punch Time. Note that non-exempt employees enter leave only through Weekly Elapsed Time.
The example will show one day in a pay period, and includes a start (In) time, lunch break, and end (Out) time.
Log on to myUFL.
Click the Main Menu link.
Click the Time Management link.
Click the Time Management Home link.
Click the Reporting Method drop down list.
Select Manage Weekly Punch Time.
If the date showing is incorrect you can enter the new week beginning date or use the calendar to look up.
In this example, click the calendar.
In this example the week beginning date is March 11, 2011.
Click 11.
Click the Get EmplID option.
Click in the EmplId field.
Enter the employee ID. In this example, enter "67618191".
The employee's details are now shown.
Click Andy Mann.
The Weekly Punch Time screen for Andy Mann is now shown. To start entering time, you need to select the date within the pay period week.
You can enter the date or use the calendar. In this example, click the calendar.
In this example, click 11.
Click in the Time field.
Enter the start (In) time. In this example, enter "8a".
In the Type field, click the drop down list.
Select In.
To continue entering time, click the Add a Punch button.
You can see that the time of 8a previously entered, is now shown in the correct format.
Click in the Time field.
Enter the end (Out) time. In this example, this is a lunch break.
Enter "12p".
In the Type field, click the drop down list.
Select Out.
Click the Add a Punch button.
Again, you can see that the time of 12p previously entered, is now in the correct format.
Click in the Time field.
Enter the next In time. In this example, this is the time the employee returned to work from lunch break.
Enter "1p".
In the Type field, click the drop down list.
Select In.
Click in the Time field.
Enter the Out time. In this example, this is the time the employee completed work for the day.
Enter "5p".
In the Type field, click the drop down list.
Select Out.
Check you have entered all times correctly. You can amend, if necessary.
When you are satisfied with the time entries, click the Save button.
Click the OK button.
Click the Manager Self Service link.
