For this exercise, you will:
• Practice navigating through a new module
• Use the wildcard (%) icon to narrow your search when no operators are displayed in the search screen
For this example, we will work with the Time and Labor module to view common features in myUFL.
For instructions on using the Time and Labor module in myUFL, attend PST110 Time and Labor.
Click the Manager Self Service folder icon.
For this exercise, begin by clicking the Get EmplID option.
Read the error message. Now we know we need part of the Employee ID.
Click the OK button.
For this exercise, the desired employee IDs begin with "09". Enter "09%" in the EmplID field.
NOTE: The % sign (or wildcard) tells the system to produce results that begin with "09."
Look at this screen's search features. There are no operator drop downs! Some screens in myUFL will have search fields with no operators.
Notice the search results show employees with UFIDs starting with "09".
(Their names have been covered on this screen.)
Now you have practiced navigation in myUFL, viewed a screen in the Time and Labor module, and experienced using the wildcard (%) icon.
